Reiki
Reiki is a powerful Japanese system of healing that dates back to the end of the
nineteenth century. The word Reiki translates to a Universal life force. Reiki is used to draw awareness to our energetic selves. Practitioners focus on the seven primary
chakras (energy centers) during the treatment.
Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel energy into and out of a person’s body. Practitioners believe that they can alleviate pain, relax muscles, and reduce stress levels. The patient’s well-being lies in their energy unblocking themselves; this practice helps them find new realms of consciousness to explore.
What to expect from a Reiki session
During the session, the practitioner will hold their hands lightly on or near your body in a series of hand positions, including positions around the head and shoulders, stomach, and feet, depending on the areas that require attention. The duration of each hold is roughly 3-10 minutes during a session.
